And these guys wanted more money???

I realize that it is the Christmas season and that there is an increased work load on the fine folks over at Canada Post, however, there really is no excusing the kind of "Customer service" that I have received over the last couple of days. You see, I have been expecting a package, containing my new book, 'The brush becomes my breath'.

The package has a tracking number, it is listed as an expedited parcel, it has an expected delivery date of December 15, 2011. It shows up on the Canada Post tracking website as "Item processed at postal facility Edmonton" at 8:24 a.m. on December 15th, 2011. Well, I do not have my package, even after customer service at Canada Post assured me that it would arrive yesterday. The topper, however, from customer service over at Canada Post, came just mere minutes ago.

After calling for the umpteenth time, I was told that the postal facility in Edmonton may have broken down, "Really"? I asked, "Well no, that couldn't be the reason" she told me. And then, wanting desperately to get me off of her phone, the customer service professional at Canada Post, mustering all of the knowledge that she has gained through countless hours of vigorous training sessions, offered the following advice, "Watch out your window, if you see a Canada Post truck driving around, they might have your package for you"

Fantastic!!

I am so happy that I paid the extra $22 for the expedited service!!

Expedited Parcel means they don't have a clue when it will get there. You get mail faster from the States then mail originating in Canada.

Well Archie, they certainly have demonstrated that they don't have a clue....

Harper would have done better leaving them on strike and shutting them all down.

I've can do one better. Moved my business 2 years ago..paid over 600 bucks for a 6 month change of address term...except, CPost put the wrong postal code on my form, recently couldnt figure out why some mail wasnt getting to me, found out, wrong postal code, I live in a small town so mail just kept coming by common sense postal workers, now, they want another 600 bucks to fix my postal code problem. Cant get mad at my local carriers cuz they are good people and work hard...so...I've spent a full day working on automated direct deposits for my good clients and set up payment for most bills at my bank. Never in the history of business has one field worked so hard at closing themselves down.

Be glad you got a response from the tracking of your parcel. I sent a parcel to our son last Monday and so far there is no sign of it on the tracking page anywhere. It can't be found. I wonder if it has even left the town yet. No one knows!
