Exactly, if the EPS can't understand that they are in place to serve the tax payer in Edmonton, not the freeloader, then it looks as if someone else is going to have to do their job for them.
It would also seem that the citizens of Edmonton should be receiving a refund from the city for taxes paid out to fund the EPS.
I find it a touch scary when the police (including Calgary)arbitraily decide what laws will be enforced and what ones they will ignore. I don't bye the line that they are told what to do by city officials. I understand they are to go by the law not the commands of city council. Looks like I was/am wrong.
Maybe it is time for the hard working 99% to show up and evict the lazy .01% who are protesting! I bet the "real" police are disgusted with the response from the higher-ups.
If one protester dies, you can bet that Melcor will be sued.
What happened to enforcing the law? They wrote 500 tickets for people parking in "seasonal" zones, but they can't get rid of 5 protesters? Baloney.

If the police force doesn't want to enforce the eviction notice, the company should just hire private security to remove them.

More cops behaving cowardly, I agree just hire heavyweights and have them thrown off bodily. Bet the police get involved then.

And that is scary, "We like that law, but we don't like that one" really doesn't cut it.

Every single person who received a ticket should refuse to pay until the EPS start doing their job.
